Increase of ecological and organic viticulture in Istria County

Organic and ecological viticulture is underdeveloped in Istria County, Croatia, but the number of farmers engaged in it is increasing due to awareness of its benefits for health and environment and its potential economic benefits. The Istria BIO region project by the Administrative Department for Agriculture aims to encourage organic farming in Istria County. The goal is to enhance ecological and organic viticulture by using agroecological practices.
