The main precondition for sustainable viticulture in Istria County is training for the workforce. This needs to be done at the regional and national level, with the main role played by the Istria County, regional and local agencies and departments, to develop education for agroecological principles. Encouraging Istrian viticulturalists and wine-makers to educate their workers or employ workers who need education will set a good example for all of the wine farms in Istria.
